Working with Mary and Tara is so much fun!
They took the time to get to know who we were, what we were
looking for and identify our style. They understood that we have a big family and pets and took these factors into the design of the house, the furniture plan, pieces chosen and fabrics used. Also, my husband appreciates that his tastes and views were also incorporated and respected (although sometimes overruled by his wife)! It was important to them that the house be livable and not a showcase. This is probably one of the most enjoyable features of the plan, we can comfortable use every room knowing it was designed as a living space and not a museum. Another reason I always recommend Mary and Tara is because they never try and push items you don’t really need. They really try to incorporate what you already have and make simple changes to better a room rather than going into a full overhaul. Mary and Tara don’t follow a cookie cutter plan. They take the time to incorporate your personality, personal effects and ideas to arrive at a home that truly reflects the inhabitants. Mary and Tara have provided me with so many wonderful resources in the area. From expert tradesmen to artists, we would not have know where to turn if it had not been for Mary and Tara’s contacts and professional experience in the area. We moved back into our house after living abroad for a year. Our furniture arrived two weeks before christmas and five days before guests arrived to stay with us for the holidays. In four days, Mary and Tara helped me unpack everything, arranged the furniture perfectly, had everything hanging on the walls AND decorated the house, tree and front door for the holidays." -Emily Firmenich

We comment every day on how wonderful the house looks and how incredibly functional it is.
I continue to marvel at the unique wall coverings that remind of us our special times in London. And then, the wonderful deco pieces from the Waldorf early days. To make that work with hideaway toy boxes and whimsical yet somehow sophisticated guest rooms that are special for young and old is amazing to me.

You have brought her out of the 50's—making her both contemporary and classic. I am not really sure how you do it—but it is your trademark I would say. Classic, contemporary and totally unexpected. Always making me think I would love to move in.
