As a young woman living in London, one of my most favourite things to do was to go to the Chelsea Flower Show. After a long dreary winter in England, there’s nothing so beautiful as the Spring and Chelsea embodied the joy of colour and scents and the unending hope of an English summer. It was just an overwhelming experience.
The plant sale on the last day was the pinnacle … you would grab a London taxi and fill it to the brimwith all the plants and trees you could fit in it! You have never seen such access to the most unusual plants in your life. Chelsea has developed so much since then. The gardens have become more and more elaborate and fantastic. The designers more and more creative and inspired. Gardeners exhibit from all over the world now. There is no other garden show that compares… Book your tickets for next year!! Become a RHS member and you will be guaranteed a ticket on the member preview days to avoid the crowds. This flower show is a MUST SEE experience. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2147156/Chelsea-Flower-Show-2012-Pensioners-defy-ban-climbing-Diarmuid-Gavins-80ft-tower.html
